Same-Day Emergency Dental Care

In some cases, dental emergencies just can’t wait. If you are experiencing pain, a broken tooth, or feeling particularly sensitive, give us a call right away. At Smiling Hills Dental, we treat dental emergencies quickly – often on the same day!

Pain can disrupt your schedule and your sleep, making it difficult to be productive. Dr. Alano is gentle and focused on helping you feel like yourself again!

When Is an Emergency an Emergency?

If something feels off and you are not sure if it is a dental emergency, just give us a call. Our helpful and knowledgeable team can help you determine if an emergency dental appointment is necessary. We will ask a series of questions so that we can be of the greatest service to you and prepare for your appointment, if necessary.

Here are some of the typical dental emergencies we see in our office:

  • Broken tooth

  • Broken or lost restoration

  • Pain

  • Infection

  • Accidents or trauma

  • Tooth loss

If you have an accident and suspect a head or neck injury, it is important to visit the emergency room prior to your dental appointment to rule out a potentially more serious injury. We will be here to treat your dental condition afterward!

Your Emergency Dental Appointment

When you arrive, we will be ready for you! We will start by taking an x-ray of the area for Dr. Michael Alano to review. Once he has a chance to evaluate your x-ray and perform an exam, he can make a recommendation for treatment to restore your oral health and comfort.

Often, we can treat your dental condition on the same day. If you require extensive treatment, we will focus on making you comfortable and stabilizing your condition.

Once we address your emergency and pain, we will likely recommend that you come back for a follow-up exam so we can make sure you are healing properly. We also invite new patients for a comprehensive oral evaluation so you can avoid dental emergencies in the future.

How to Avoid Dental Emergencies

The best way to avoid dental emergencies is by coming to our Chino Hills dental office regularly for dental exams, x-rays, and cleanings. These preventive dental appointments are the best way to prevent serious dental issues because we can often catch and diagnose them in the earliest stages before they cause pain, symptoms, or tooth loss.
